Apprenticeship

In the past any kind of formal training has been against the ethos of this work. However, there is currently a trend internationally towards more formalised training. My personal view is that the best possible way to learn is by ‘doing’. Being a representative in other people’s constellations gives you a good, solid grounding in the work, so I would recommend to anyone wanting to facilitate constellations, that you firstly gain lots of experience by being a representative in other people’s constellations. It is also very important to do your own personal constellations, as any unresolved issues within your own soul will manifest as ‘blindspots’ when acting as a facilitator.

Bert Hellinger has expressed the view in the past that the most important qualification for doing this work is that you are at peace with your parents. You will be asked to write about this issue when applying for an apprenticeship. As an apprentice you will have lots of opportunity to be a representative and at the teaching and introductory days, a chance to practise your facilitation skills.
